Sakao Japanese Tea
Green tea leaves are roasted at high temperature to give a coffee colour and a pleasant nutty flavour. Because of the roasting process, Hojicha is very low in caffeine and it is perfect with meals and to drink in the evening.
- Put the powder in a tea bowl. 1 teaspoon (about 2.5-3gr) for one person.
- Pour 60ml of hot water (90-95 degrees) into the bowl.
- Whisk the tea either with tea whisk (chasen) or with an electric mixer.
Option: Add Milk of your choice, honey or maple syrup
