Cinnamon (Cassia Whole Sticks)


Originating in Southern China, Cassia cinnamon comes from the Cinnamomum cassia tree, also called Cinnamomum aromaticum.

Cassia Cinnamon tends to be a dark brown-red color with thicker sticks and a rougher texture than Ceylon cinnamon.  It has a much spicier cinnamon flavor, and is great is baked goods, where it really shines through.
