Roasted Garlic Achaar
Achaar is an Indian-style condiment called a pickle, often made with garlic, limes, lemons, mangoes, ginger, eggplants, and other regional ingredients, but the decisive ingredient is the chili pepper. This Roasted Garlic Achaar is made with roasted garlic, lemon, oil, a mix of Indian spices, red chili powder and unrefined cane sugar. It has a spicy, lemony, savoury, sweet flavour. Use it just like a roasted garlic spread or chili sauce.
Traditionally it's eaten with rice, curry, dal and yogurt, but you can use it as a base for pizza or pasta sauces, aiolis, soups or marinades and it's fantastic in garlic bread or put it on almost anything - burgers, eggs, sandwiches, tacos, chicken, ramen, etc.
Ingredients: garlic, lemon juice, non-GMO expeller pressed canola oil, spices (including turmeric), salt, jaggery (evaporated sugarcane juice), contains less than 1% of distilled vinegar.
