Hi my name is Chitra Agrawal. I’m a chef, cookbook author and co-founder of Brooklyn Delhi where we make sauces and condiments inspired by Indian culinary traditions.
For the past 10 years starting in Brooklyn, I’ve been specializing in teaching, serving and writing about food based on my family’s recipes.
In 2014, I launched Brooklyn Delhi with my husband Ben Garthus, a seasoned food packaging designer to bring the flavors I was creating to a wider audience.
We hand-packed our first products in micro batches and sold at local markets in NYC where we attracted a cult following. We’ve come a long way.
